Requirements to Qualify for Section 8 housing program

To qualify for public housing you must be 18 years of age or older

If you are 55 or older,  you may qualify for senior housing

Meet HUD requirements on citizenship or eligible immigration status

Are low-income with an annual gross income that does not exceed 80% of area median income (AMI) or the income limits established by HUD by family size

Provide documentation of Social Security Numbers (SSN) for  all  family members or sign a certification under penalties of perjury for each family member that does not have a SSN

All applicants will have criminal background, credit, and residential history screened.  Results of the reports will determine the approval or denial of the application.
