Good news, New Jersey! More section 8 housing on the way!
| |The Jersey City Housing Authority is seeking a $30 million grant to redevelop the famous Montgomery Gardens apartment complex.
In order to receive the grant, the developers would have to replace the 435 section 8 units and add an additional 436 units! If the grant is approved, it will be great news for New Jersians! That means at a minimum they will be adding 436 more voucher approvals.
So make sure to make your voice heard at the 2 public meetings on the issue that are coming up quickly. The meetings will be held Tuesday, July 23, and Thursday, Aug. 15, at Saint Peter’s University MacMahon Student Center, Glenwood Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard. Both meetings will start at 7 p.m.
